Once you’ve signed your agreement for deborahlundgren.com to create your new website, you’ll want to follow some simple steps to ensure your website is online by your desired date. Creating a website is an involved process. I am going to need cooperation from your organization’s contact to ensure that materials and information are collected in a timely manner.
Step One: The Initial Phase
Your first step is to send Deborah an email with at least 5 website links that you like and tell her why you like them. This will allow her to get a feel for your organization and the web presence you wish to create. It will help Deborah build snapshots of what your final website might look like.
Deborah will also work with you on registering a domain name if you do not already currently have one. Any color combinations, site ideas, logos and pictures will need to be sent to Deborah during this initial phase. All materials can be sent via email (or regular mail) to either deborahlundgren.com or at my mailing address;

Step Two: The Design Phase
Deborah will send some initial design work in a “snapshot” to your organization after the initial phase. These pictures are meant to give your organization a feel for how the finished website will look. Changes to the design, colors, and pictures are requested during this phase. Deborah will work with you and provide up to three different design choices.
Step Three: The Development Phase
After choosing a design, Deborah will work with your organization to create navigation structures and gather information that you wish to be posted on your site. The majority of information that is needed during this phase is dependent upon your organization contact. Many organizations will send a large “master” file with all the text that will be needed to be placed on the different pages of your site. During this phase, you will be given a working link that will allow you to view your site progress. You’ll also be able to see what information is still needed to complete the creation of your site.
Step Four: Going Live
After all the necessary site information has been collected and posted, Deborah will ask your organization to review the site. Once the site has been reviewed and accepted, you will need to sign off on your new site. Deborah will then post your site and you’ll be live!
Editing and Updating your Website After your site has gone live.
You may wish to change or add some elements to your design. Changes that you wish Deborah to make can be sent to deblundgren@comcast.net and will be made within five to seven business days. Deborah services are available for a per hour fee. To maximize your time and money, grouping together multiple changes to be handled at once will alleviate multiple fees. |
